With its rugged landscapes, Georgian architecture and delicious Irish food and drink, Ireland is a true paradise for the senses. Whether you're a nature lover or an adrenaline junkie, history buff or an Irish music fan, there's something for everyone in this country of contrasts and diversity.

One of the most iconic spots in all of Ireland is the Cliffs of Moher. Here, you can enjoy unbeatable vistas of the Atlantic Ocean waves crashing on the rocky coast below and the beautiful Aran Islands in the distance.

Dublin

Dublin is a city that is brimming with culture, history and buzzing nightlife. It’s the perfect place for those looking for a fun-filled vacation.

Dublin’s quaint streets are lined with historic buildings, trendy cafes and traditional “old man” pubs. The vibrant city center is surrounded by mountains, a river and a beautiful bay.

The UNESCO City of Literature, Dublin has given us world-renowned writers like Samuel Beckett, James Joyce and Oscar Wilde. The Dublin Writers Museum, housed in an attractive 1700s home on Parnell Square, is one of the best places to learn about Ireland’s rich literary heritage.

In the heart of the city lies O’Connell Street, the site of the 1916 Easter Rising and the GPO (General Post Office). Whether you’re interested in that event or not, it’s worth checking out the city’s newer GPO Witness History Museum, which is full of fascinating displays about that pivotal year.

Dublin

Cork

Cork is often overshadowed by Dublin, but this surprisingly diverse county is full of intriguing historic and cultural sites, standout restaurants and pubs and breathtaking street art. With its warmest of welcomes and cosy, friendly atmosphere, you'll quickly see why it’s one of Ireland's favourite places to visit.

Cork also has an innate rebel character and the region attracts people seeking an alternative style of life to its cosmopolitan city. It has a slew of historical sites to visit, including Cobh, the port that ferried people to the United States and elsewhere; Allihies Copper Mine Museum; Desmond Castle; and Lios na gCon, the only ringfort in the entire country to be restored on its original site.

And you can't leave without visiting the iconic church tower of Shandon, said to inspire the city’s famous sporting colours (red sandstone and white limestone). St Anne’s Church is also a popular destination, with visitors able to ring the bells.

Dublin

Belfast

Belfast is a bustling historic city with tons of things to do. From fun pubs and museums to street murals, beautiful gardens, Victorian architecture, and more, this city is a must-visit.

As the capital of Northern Ireland, Belfast has a strong sense of history and pride that shines through everywhere you go. This is especially true when you visit the Titanic Quarter and explore some of the excellent museums in town.

One of the most popular and interesting museums in town is the Ulster Museum. This self-guided museum is a great place to learn about the city’s history from an overview of the past to an in-depth exploration of different themes and events.

Sligo

Sligo

Sligo is a bustling Irish city with an energetic cultural life. It is also home to the Yeats International Summer School and the impressive Niland Gallery.

The town is a place caught between the land and sea, with Lough Gill to its west and the Atlantic to its east. The Garavogue River, one of the shortest rivers in Ireland, runs through the town, passing charming parks and under bridges.

Its proximity to the sea makes it a great location for soaking up fresh, salty air and soaking up the sun. In addition, the shoreline is dotted with evocative landmarks and archaeological finds.

Traditional music is a huge part of Sligo’s heritage, and the town has been home to many famous musicians and writers. Among the best known are James Morrison, Michael Coleman and Paddy Killoran.

Aran Islands

If you’re seeking an escape to a world that seems to have stepped back in time, the Aran Islands in Galway bay are a must-visit. These islands, which include Inishmore (Inis Mor), Inishmaan (Inis Meain) and Inisheer (Inis Oirr), offer majestic cliffs, Celtic medieval churches, and lush green fields crossed by ancient stone walls.

The Aran Islands are also known for their traditional Gaelic culture. Though most Islanders speak English, Gaelic is still the primary language.

In addition to the beautiful landscape, these islands have some fascinating history. One of the best sights is Dun Aengus, an extraordinary fort built on Inis Mor in the 1st century.
