They house a collection of old Berber musical instruments, carpets, architecture, pottery and jewellery. The museum also displays photographs of Berbers in their daily lives.
This small museum, set just inside the main entrance to Agadir’s seafront promenade, is worth a quick stop, especially if you’re interested in learning more about the region’s rich Berber history. It’s not a huge place, but the displays are excellent, and they have a good selection of chunky and intricate Berber jewellery.
6. Vallee des Oiseaux
If you love animals, you’ll find Valleeeeee des Oiseaux (Birds Valley) is a pleasant zoo in the centre of town. With no entrance fee and a range of bird species, this is an excellent place to spend an afternoon, particularly on weekends.
Its proximity to the beach means it’s a popular spot for sunbathing and swimming, but it’s also well-serviced with hotels, cafes, restaurants, and designer shops. There’s also a Ferris wheel right by the sea, La Grande Roue d’Agadir, which is open during the day and at night for good views of the city, beach, and marina.
