Benefits of Booking Excursions in Agadir through Mycitytrip.com:

Agadir is a popular destination for travelers from all over the world. The city is known for its beautiful beaches and a variety of activities.

One of the best things to do in Agadir is visiting the Medina. The Medina is an area of the city that has been renovated to preserve its traditional architecture.

1. Medina Polizzi

Agadir is a port-city, a modern European-like center brimming with luxurious beach resorts, cafes and restaurants. It also offers a plethora of leisure and cultural attractions, making it a popular vacation destination for families.

Despite the city’s devastating earthquake in 1960, the inhabitants of Agadir showed resilience and fortitude. They were able to rebuild their city and turn it into the flourishing port-city that it is today.

In 1992, Italian artist Coco Polizzi reconstructed a Berber-style medina near the city of Agadir. This is now known as La Medina Polizzi and it extends over 4.5 hectares.

2. La Grande Roue d’Agadir

Located right by the beach, La Grande Roue Panoramique is an eye-catching addition to this stunning destination. At 50 meters high and consisting of 27 gondolas, it offers breathtaking vistas over Agadir’s ocean side.

It’s one of the best things to do in Agadir, whether you’re a local or a tourist visiting from abroad. The gondolas can hold six passengers each, making it an exciting way to see the city from a new angle.

You can ride it for a few hours or even a full day. It’s a great way to spend some time in the sun and see some of the most popular sights in the area.

3. Paradise Valley

Located in the Atlas Mountains north of Agadir, Paradise Valley is a picturesque place that is worth visiting on a day trip. It has waterfalls and natural swimming pools surrounded by limestone ravines and exotic vegetation.

A visit to the Paradise Valley is a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the stunning views of the mountains and valleys. However, it is best to avoid visiting in summer as the pools and waterfalls can get crowded.

Taking a guided tour from Agadir is an ideal way to see the beauty of Paradise Valley without worrying about getting lost or having to worry about public transport. The cost of the trip is minimal and it is easy to organize a tour with a local company.

4. Agadir Marina

One of the main ports on the Atlantic coast of Morocco, Agadir Marina is a picturesque destination that's home to hundreds of luxury apartment buildings. The area is also surrounded by designer shops, cafes and restaurants so it's a great place to visit.

It's a good idea to hire a small boat or sailing boat for a few hours and take a cruise around Agadir Marina to see it in a different way.

You can also head out to the surrounding Sahara Desert and hurtle down the dunes while taking in killer views. There are also adventure parks that include crocodile safaris, go-kart tracks and zip lines.

5. Agadir Museum of Amazigh Culture

The Agadir Museum of Amazigh Culture (Musee Municipal du Patrimoine Amazigh) offers a fascinating insight into the culture and art of the Berbers. They’re the original inhabitants of Morocco, and their past is a key part of understanding its contemporary culture.

They house a collection of old Berber musical instruments, carpets, architecture, pottery and jewellery. The museum also displays photographs of Berbers in their daily lives.

This small museum, set just inside the main entrance to Agadir’s seafront promenade, is worth a quick stop, especially if you’re interested in learning more about the region’s rich Berber history. It’s not a huge place, but the displays are excellent, and they have a good selection of chunky and intricate Berber jewellery.

6. Vallee des Oiseaux

If you love animals, you’ll find Valleeeeee des Oiseaux (Birds Valley) is a pleasant zoo in the centre of town. With no entrance fee and a range of bird species, this is an excellent place to spend an afternoon, particularly on weekends.

Its proximity to the beach means it’s a popular spot for sunbathing and swimming, but it’s also well-serviced with hotels, cafes, restaurants, and designer shops. There’s also a Ferris wheel right by the sea, La Grande Roue d’Agadir, which is open during the day and at night for good views of the city, beach, and marina.

If you want to learn more about Moroccan culture, then Souk El Had is one of the best places to visit in Agadir. Here you can look for spices, olives, dates, honey, and other local products.
