There's a lot to see and do in Estonia, but if you want to get the most out of your trip there are a few places that should be at the top of your list.
For instance, if you're a history buff, make sure you check out Tallinn and Tartu. They're both full of medieval architecture and other historical sites.
1. Narva River Promenade
Located along the Narva River, this promenade is one of the city's main attractions. It features several original sculptural compositions.
The promenade is about 967 m long and stretches from the Joaorg recreation area to the Victoria Bastion. It also includes a bridge that connects Estonia with Russia.

In addition to alpacas, you can also see Cameroon goats, Ouessant sheep, Valais black-nosed sheep, guinea pigs, minisheep, and chickens. If you have kids, they'll love to see and pet these furry creatures.
The farm also offers tours that explain how these Peruvian animals are raised and harvested their wool. Tours are available on weekdays and weekends. Tickets cost $10 per person and include a 45-minute talk and the opportunity to touch and feed an alpaca.
3. Tallinn Old Town
Tallinn’s Old Town is one of Europe’s most impressive medieval towns. Originally surrounded by fortress walls, today it’s the heart of the city and the main centre of activity.

The UNESCO World Heritage site is home to an array of fantastic buildings and monuments, including the Gothic Town Hall, the only surviving one in Northern Europe. A tower stands proudly upon the building, where visitors can observe proceedings from a viewing platform.

4. Haapsalu Old Town
Modern day Haapsalu is a romantic little gateway from Tallinn with adorable small old town, charming seaside promenade and medieval castle. You can spend the day exploring this charming summer destination and admire its landmarks.
A walk on the promenade will take you back in time, combining history, art and nature. You can relax on a bench, watch the sundial or enjoy the view of the ocean.
The episcopal castle of Haapsalu is a must-visit heritage site that dates back to the 13th century and served as a residence for bishops throughout its history. It also features a museum that showcases artifacts from the castle’s past.

5. Kihnu Island
If you're craving a glimpse of a quaint Eastern European village, Kihnu Island is the place to go. Its residents are proud to keep their old traditions, songs and language alive.
