Cycling
Bovec is a great destination for cycling enthusiasts. This beautiful valley offers a variety of cycling trails that suit both recreational and mountain bikers.
Located west of Kranjska Gora and Bled, Bovec is surrounded by mighty mountains and emerald-green rivers. You can choose from easy local roads, forest paths and cycle trails that offer splendid views of the Julian Alps.
The Juliana Bike Trail is a circular route that takes you from the fairytale setting of Lake Bled to the high mountain plateau of Pokljuka. It is a perfect choice for cyclists looking to explore the Julian Alps and Triglav National Park.
Rafting
Bovec is a mountain town with many adrenaline-filled activities for outdoor lovers. It is located in the Soca valley, one of the most beautiful areas in Europe and at the edge of Triglav National Park.
Rafting is a popular water activity in the region, offering visitors three hours of genuine contact with nature on eight kilometers of rapids. This experience is suitable for all age groups and abilities.
For the more adventurous, there are several rafting trails on offer in the Soca Valley, including canyoning. The emerald-coloured Soca river flows through picturesque gorges and offers a fantastic view of the mountains around.
Kayaking
Bovec is one of the best places to try kayaking in Slovenia. With the emerald-hued Soca River and the lovely Kanin-Sella Nevea ski resort above, this mountain village is an excellent destination any time of year.
The Soca is a long river that offers a variety of white water kayaking adventures. With rapids ranging from Class II (mellow) to Class V (extreme), it's a great spot to learn the sport.
Rock Climbing
Whether you are a beginner or pro, Bovec has a lot to offer for rock climbing enthusiasts. There are a few different areas where you can go rock climbing, and each has its own unique style and scenery.
If you are a beginner, a good place to start is the climbing area near Zadnjiski Ozebnik (see below). The crag offers routes that are easy enough for beginners.
The climbing area is located 2.2 km from Trenta, in the direction of Vrsic Pass. It takes about 10 minutes to reach the crag on foot.
SRNICA Adventure Park
The SRNICA Adventure Park is located in the hidden gorge Srnica near Bovec. It is designed for nature lovers, adrenaline enthusiasts, families with children, closed groups and schools.
The adventure park is a unique combination of easy hiking and adventurous walking through a protected climbing section “Via Ferrata”, which adds a good portion of primal adrenalin to your experience.
In addition, we offer rafting and canyoning on the River Soca. There is also the largest zipline field in Slovenia here.
