Whether you're looking to get out in the water, soak up the sun or shop for a souvenir, you'll find it all in Nha Trang.
The city's pristine beaches stretch for miles along powdery sand and the waters are calm enough for kids to swim. You can also find local vendors selling fresh seafood and cooling tropical fruit on the beachfront.
1. Vinpearl Land
Vinpearl Land is an entertainment complex on Hon Tre Island that attracts families and thrill seekers alike. It features a large amusement park with a range of exciting rides, a massive water park and an aquarium.
A visit to Vinpearl Land can take up a full day, though, and it's best to arrive early. The park has a variety of fast-paced rides, including extreme carousels that flip you upside down and rainbow bumper cars.
You can get to the park by a cable car from Nha Trang, or by speed boat or canoe. Tickets to Vinpearl Land include one-way or round-trip transportation from the mainland and admission to the theme park, water park and aquarium.
2. Tri Nguyen Aquarium
The Tri Nguyen Aquarium is a popular tourist attraction that offers an opportunity to view a wide variety of captive aquatic life. It is located on Hon Mieu Island in Nha Trang Bay and is 2 kilometers south of Cau Da Port.
The aquarium features a unique structure that is designed like a ship covered by moss, and it is home to a miniature ocean filled with hundreds of rare marine species. It also has a system of fish lakes on the ground, and visitors can see thousands of living corals.
Next on the itinerary is a trip to Hon Mun island, home to a marine park and one of the best places to snorkel in Vietnam. Dive into the crystal clear waters and keep an eye out for the vast amount of aquatic life that inhabits the area.
3. Long Son Pagoda
Located on Trai Thuy mountain, Long Son Pagoda is an attractive landmark of Nha Trang. The impressive structure of the pagoda is adorned with mosaic dragons constructed from glass and ceramic tile.
It also has a main hall decorated with modern interpretations of traditional motifs. On the hilltop above is a large, white 14-metre Buddha statue.
When visiting the pagoda, be sure to climb the steep steps up to the top to admire the breathtaking view of Nha Trang city.
The temple is a working monastery, with school and living quarters nearby. It was first built in 1886 on the top of Trai Thuy mountain, and was moved downhill after a huge cyclone destroyed it in 1900.
4. Nha Trang Oceanography Institute
The Nha Trang Oceanography Institute is one of the best marine science museums in Vietnam. It features a collection of over 20,000 marine and freshwater species as well as an 18-metre-long whale skeleton.
Located in an old French colonial building outside the city center, it charts the history, science, and technology of marine life. It also features theme rooms that showcase algae and phytoplankton, coastal natural disasters, sacred legends, and the culture of fishing in Vietnam.
The Oceanography Institute is a must-see for anyone interested in marine biology and science. It also offers a range of activities, including watching coral on glass-bottom boats and snorkeling.
5. Nha Trang Stone Church
Located in the center of Nha Trang city, this stone church is a highlight for tourists from all directions. Moreover, it is also a favorite destination for young couples who want to have their wedding photos taken there.
- The Stone Church was built by French priest Louis Vallet in 1928. It is a Western-style church that is known for its unique architecture.
