The most popular attraction is Turtle Cove, which floats lily pads with a mesh rope overhead for kids to test their navigation skills. Many water parks offer wave pools and general activities, but Sun-N-Fun Lagoon was designed with the goal of keeping children safe while allowing them to experience fun on their own.
The Naples Zoo
Founded in 1919 by botanist Henry Nehrling, the Naples Zoo is a historic botanical garden and nationally accredited zoo. Today it is home to a variety of exotic animals and offers a wide range of activities and events.
The Zoo is the perfect place to spend a day with your family. You can hand-feed giraffes, watch animal shows, and learn about the importance of wildlife conservation.
The Mercato
Located on 53 acres north of Vanderbilt Beach Road/US 41 in Naples, The Mercato is a shopping and residential complex with upscale retail stores. It is also home to Whole Foods, Nordstrom Rack, and a Silverspot Cinema movie theater.
The Mercato also offers several dining options including Rocco’s Tacos & Tequila Bar, Burntwood Tavern, The Pub (with British themes) and AZN Asian Cuisine.
The Mercato also hosts events including the Hand & Harvest Artisan Market on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month from noon to 4 p.m. This is an indoor market where more than 35 local artisans sell their handmade creations.
The Lungomare
The Lungomare is a coastal boulevard in Naples that’s worth exploring for its panoramic views and local attractions. From Santa Lucia to Mergellina, the promenade stretches along the seafront, crossing various areas of the city and attracting residents and tourists alike.

The Naples Depot Museum
Set inside Naples’ restored 1926 Seaboard Air Line Railway passenger station, this evocative museum reflects on the evolution of railroading during the Roaring Twenties. It explains how Southwest Floridians used technology and transportation to conquer a seemingly impenetrable frontier.
In addition to a Seminole dugout canoe, historic mule wagon and antique swamp buggy, the museum also features restored railroad cars and exciting interactive exhibits. Its most eye-catching feature is a recently restored 1947 Budd Tavern Observation Car.
The Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples (C’mon)
C’mon is a brain-building powerhouse fueled by STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math). The interactive projects and exhibit exploration encourage thoughtful questioning.
It’s also the first cultural institution in Collier County devoted to connecting play with learning, a hugely important addition to our community. It is truly a must-visit for all families in Southwest Florida.
