Benefits of Booking Excursions in Vilnius through Mycitytrip.com:

With a fascinating Old Town and a thriving arts scene, Vilnius is a great place to explore. Its UNESCO-protected Old Town is packed with medieval buildings, each reflecting a different architectural style.

You’ll find Baroque and Classical palaces, artisans’ guilds and Gothic and Renaissance churches all lined up along its partially cobblestoned streets.

St. Anne’s Church

There are many things to see and to do in Vilnius. But the most popular is to visit the stunning Church of St. Anne, which is one of the most beautiful buildings in the entire city.

This incredibly gorgeous building is built of brick and is an amazing example of Flamboyant Gothic architecture. It looks like no other church in the world, and it is definitely worth visiting.

Located in the heart of Old Town, this Roman Catholic church is one of the best landmarks you can see in Vilnius. The main facade of the church was designed in Flamboyant Gothic style, and it is flanked by two towers with a delightful spire lying between them.

The church was built in 1581 and is considered the most famous late Gothic church in Lithuania. The red brick structure is complex and amazingly beautiful in its own right.

Vilnius

Gediminas Tower

Gediminas Tower, a red brick bastion, is the only remaining relic of Vilnius’ Upper Castle fortifications. It was built by Grand Duke Gediminas (c. 1275–1341) to honor his dream of a howling wolf on the top of this hill, which an interpreter said meant a great city would one day stand here.

Today, it serves as a museum that explores the capital’s storied history and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The exhibits range from models of earlier Vilnius castles to archeological finds from the surrounding region.

Book a guided tour to make the most of your time at Gediminas Tower, which gives you an immersive history experience and sweeping views of the Vilnius Old Town. You can also book a ticket to visit the tower as part of a regional tour that includes visits to other highlights of the country’s historic capital.

As part of the National Museum of Lithuania, Gediminas Tower is the perfect way to get a historical overview of the capital. Tickets give you entry to the exhibit and sweeping views of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including the TV tower and Soviet-era apartment blocks.

Vilnius

St. Peter and Paul Church

While visiting the Lithuanian capital, it’s impossible not to admire its impressive medieval buildings. Vilnius’s Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, encompassing 74 different quarters.

As one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Europe, it’s no surprise that Vilnius has a great number of churches and cathedrals to see, including St. Peter and Paul Church, which is located a little outside of the Old Town.

The exterior of the church doesn’t look very special, but the interior is truly a sight to behold! The church’s interior is adorned with more than 2000 pure-white stucco religious depictions and figurines created by Italian sculptor Pietro Perti.

This church is one of the most beautiful in the country and is a must-see for anyone visiting Vilnius. The flamboyant gothic design of the church and its bell tower are quite stunning, especially when lit up in the evening, which is when you should make your visit to this gorgeous church.
